What you'll do

Pile into a traditional (and surprisingly roomy) black cab with your "Mary Poppins"-style guide and private driver. Over the next four hours, you'll drive between iconic London landmarks, interspersed with your guide's engaging storytelling, a fun, kid-friendly quiz, and plenty of well-timed stops to let the little ones stretch their legs and explore further.

Start things off in royal style at Buckingham Palace. If your visit lines up with the Changing of the Guard, you'll get to watch the pomp and circumstance firsthand; otherwise, your guide will share helpful insider tips for catching the action later in your trip. Other highlights along the route include Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and Big Ben, followed by a visit to Trafalgar Square and its four resident lions.

Cross the River Thames to see the great dome of St Paul's Cathedral and the distinctive shapes of The City's gleaming, modern skyline—see if the kids can spot the aptly named Gherkin and Shard. You'll also swing by the Globe Theatre to see where some of Shakespeare's most famous plays were first performed, and hear dramatic tales of royals, outlaws, and intrigue as you pass the mighty Tower of London. Wind down with a requisite family photo op at Tower Bridge before heading back to your hotel.
