The entire package was well-planned and carried out. Every driver/guide was excellent. Olivier was very gracious to take us to all the little towns, villages and farms in the countryside. Paulina knew the wine route well as well as the winery owners we visited. In Caen, our guide was very flexible when rain interrupted our plans and we needed to reschedule. Very knowledgeable about the history of Caen. Our guide to Omaha Beach Tristan, was extremely knowledgeable of the history and the area as well as a great guide through the Airborne Museum. Our driver/guide Rose was an excellent resource to Mont St. Michel. The drivers that took from train station to train station and to the airport were on time and got us where we needed to be easily. Every driver/guide was friendly, had a sense of humor and was very professional and courteous. Having train tickets and museum entry in advance was very helpful. Kim Kim made our trip very low stress and enjoyable. Well worth the cost to have everything taken care of for us. I would use KimKim, specifically Nathalie again to plan future trips.

We would rate the itinerary arranged by KimKim for our trip to France five stars!!! Having everything loaded on their app allowed us to easily and quickly locate times, addresses and vouchers. The three primary hotels selected were all very nice and centrally situated. The staff were accommodating and welcoming, especially in Bayeux and Ambroise. Having breakfast included made keeping our early morning schedules easier. The variety of fresh foods and coffee provided every morning was wonderful and highly enjoyed. Kimkim seamlessly arranged for drivers and tour guides. All of our tours guide were outstanding and contributed positively to the experience- especially Wally, Alex and Helene( ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️). The drivers were always on time and very accommodating.

Could’ve used a bit of help to locate our train car and seat. Maybe a video link or something!

The only negative in our interactions with KimKim would be the lack of timely communication. After Gersende left we felt more like a number and not a person. Slow response even after multiple repeated requests. Our contact with the agency was slow to handle a request for a dinner reservation. Joel said that we wouldn’t have issue without reservations but the restaurant only had 5 tables and were turning lots of dinners away while we were eating. We were not notified of a cancellation in one of our tours due to a protest. Fortunately, our guide was notified of the closure and informed us. She had been informed by the agency she works for. Had we not known we could’ve been sent into a difficult situation. Our contact apologized for not responding to us as he was off that day, but we felt like given the high unrest in the country at that point there should’ve always been someone on call. Also our request to reschedule the Louvre tour was handled lethargically.
With all the unrest in France you all should have been in closer contact with us!!!

Lots of tourist and stairs but worth it.

Just completed a smooth 6-day journey across Lorraine planned with the help of Nathalie/kimkim, visiting small villages where our 19th-century family ancestors once lived. Hotels in Nancy, Zweibrücken and Strasbourg were well-chosen and reflected local histories rather than international hotel chain homogeneity. Local drivers Olivier and Pauline were charming, wonderfully knowledgeable and flexible, enabling our group of 6 travelers to stop, look and make unplanned visits to local museums or sites as we discovered them in real time (cemeteries, farms tucked away on winding lanes, tiny glass-making museums). The two wine caves we visited along the Alsatian wine road were also great fun, enabling us to talk with the owners and wine-makers and not just hired staff. This trip allowed us to sample the countryside (rather than the large cities), an experience we could not have arranged on our own.

Alsace wine route tour - from Strasbourg

For me, the Alsatian Wine Tour was a delight. I knew very little about Alsatian wines, and left the area with a new appreciation of their variety. The hosts at our two vineyards were informative and eager to answer all our questions. Both afternoons were a highlight for our entire group, which ranged from wine snobs to those who know what they like but have little background in wine culture. We all learned from and loved this experience.

Clothide was wonderful to work with. She was always prompt, professional and friendly in her communications. I enjoyed putting a face to a name in the Zoom call she arranged. We enjoyed her recommended itinerary and her recommendations for our accommodations (which we found ideally located for our self exploration). She was particularly helpful in assisting me in exploring the various hiking opportunities during our travel.
Gersende was likewise prompt, thorough and helpful in her follow up after taking over for Clothide. She provided just what I needed in terms of finally deciding on the Stoos Ridge hike option, which was one of the highlights for me of our trip.
Nathalie as well was prompt, professional and friendly in all our communications when she took over for Gersende.
One glitch we had was not realizing that the transportation from Lugano train station to Lucerne train station, involved the interim ferry from Fluelen train station to Lucerne. It was clearly described in the details of the itinerary. Unfortunately all of us glossed over those details and focused on the general description of train station departure and train station pickup. Our attention and focus on our self guided travel in Puglia, Italy prior to beginning our trip in n Switzerland, probably contributed to our missing this detail.
We didn’t realize we had the ferry excursion until the attendant on the train station platform in Lugano explained that we were not taking the train all the way to Lurcene.😊
It all worked out and we all enjoyed the 2 plus hour cruise on Lake Lucerne on a beautiful day.
As a suggestion, it would have been helpful if the general description of our transfer from Lugano to Lucerne had mentioned the ferry leg of the trip. Frankly, based on that excursion (which was lovely and we enjoyed) we would not have booked the catamaran cruise the following day. I was going to miss the cruise due to my all day hike, but the others opted out of the cruise too, based on cruising Lake Lucerne the day before. We thought Clothide might have mentioned this when we booked the catamaran tour. All in all it was not that big an issue and I was very happy with all my dealings with Clothide. Again, maybe a useful suggestion for future travelers following the same route.
One other issue was the train from Lucerne to Zurich. As noted in a prior chat the designated train IR2628 was never posted on the departure board and we, at the last minute, boarded what we hoped was a train that would get us to the Zurich train station (although it appeared from the board it was destined for the Zurich Airport). Again, IR70 turned out to be the right train, but it all was a little unnerving at the time for four 70 plus year old travelers.😊 Not sure how KIM KIM team could have assisted under the circumstances or if there was some mix up?
All in all our experience with KIMKIM and your team was very positive. We would recommend your services and use them again in the future.

The room was adequate. Shower door was off its track and a dirty towel was left in the bathroom. The check in clerk was efficient but not really welcoming. Our overall perception was probably clouded by the street construction immediately below our room. The staff was unable to accommodate our request for a room away from the street. Burgenstock Catamaran Cruise!

The the low rating is not intended, but your review sight had no option of “no opinion”. We really have no opinion and no basis for rating this excursion since none of us ended up going on it. As explained in the general review, we wouldn’t have booked this tour if we had realized we were going to enjoy a 2 plus hour cruise from Fluelen to Lurcene in order to reach Lurcene the day before our booking.

Lucerne Stoos Ridge Guided Day Hike !

It was one of the highlights of our Switzerland tour for me. Guide David seamlessly led me through the trains, bus, funicular and chair lift modes of transportation to the trailhead. The trail was congested, but it was a beautiful day and the views and vistas were spectacular.

The entire trip was AMAZING! Our accommodations (except for the Pavillion Arms) were great! I especially enjoyed the Old Vine Inn in Winchester- GREAT location, GREAT restaurant challenging stairwell. Our tour guide in Winchester (David?) was perfect for us - good historical knowledge, and wonderful overview of beautiful old city! The Lodge in Newquay was lovely with a nice restaurant! Tour guides in France were excellent - great tour of St. Malo and Mount Michel with Samuel was perfect. Nina and Lucy were also great for our food tour and D-Day beaches. All were prompt and very professional. We were able to see and do far more than we would have been able to with our excellent guides! I also appreciate that they offered my husband a more gentle pace - helpful for aging folks! I would LOVE to go back soon!

Le Grand Pavillon Chantilly

Resort style hotel on the grounds of the Chantilly Chateau. Part of the resort complex was the chateau laundry with some of the old mechanicals still in place. Lovely setting in the woods with the chateau itself about 3 miles away from the hotel. Our room was in the modern building with a private terrace.

This hotel incorporated the old laundry and canning facility, but updated with completely modern creature comforts! However, the chateau and town were further away from the hotel.

We wanted to be closer to the airport than in Paris, but still in an interesting hotel. This was very good! Although we didn't realize it was so far to the chateau and the local town.

As the child of a career Army officer, the D-Day Beaches were a must do! However, it was not what I expected and I probably would have preferred a different day trip. The most impressive part of the trip was probably the German Cemetery - our group was one of two groups there, so it was not crowded as the other sites were later in the day.

Lovely tour of Winchester with David. We loved- walking with the city wall on one side and the river on the other - peaceful, green and lush! He shared many interesting tidbits of early English history - my favorite part! The cathedral was beautiful! The guildhall was somewhat of a letdown (marketing 15th -16th century style was still cheesy), although the ruins which surround it were beautiful!

Remarkable conversion of the Chateau's mainteance complex into a hotel. This is a multiple building conversion with lovely modern rooms. Staff weas friendly and helpful. Food was good. This has the air of a conference center but works well for just staying. It's located beyond walking distance to Chantilly, so you'll need to get rides if you doin't have a car. But the staff was helpful in arranging that.

This is a unique conversion on the edge of Bayeux. It looks like a wealthy merchant's house from the 19th century and it has gorgeous gardens in the back. We stayed in the family suite, and not a standard room, so my comments may not apply to all. The rooms have a old aristocracy feel but the bathroom is completely updated and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

This is an amazing place. We stayed in an oceanside room - these are built into the cliff face below the main hotel. All we could see were the sea and the headlands. Rooms were plenty big for 2. The restaurant was excellent for Breakfast and Dinner. The location is brilliant for exploring Cornwall and THE VIEW!!!

Classic English Inn on the Cathedral Square in Winchester. You could not find a better place to explore Winchester from. The staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. It is in the old downtown, so if you are driving, don't have too big a car.

Our trip was amazing. Switzerland was beautiful. I'm so happy that all of the travel connections went so smoothly. The bike trip around Lake Constance was perfect. It was hot but we got to cooldown with dips in the Lake. Joel was always very responsive with answering questions. He gets 5 stars.
Nathalie was inconsiderate of our needs and was condescending. There were a couple of glitches in scheduling. I realize that we started with another specialist and then Nathalie took over but apparently she didn't read the previous emails. We had requested a massage after the bike ride. A spa package was booked but it didn't include a massage. They didn't have anyone available to even add it on. This was a specific request that was ignored. It was disappointing to get to this beautiful spa expecting a service that we didn't get. Next was the issue with the farm tour in Interlaken. A cheese tour was included. Nathalie came back and said it was unavailable after the trip was booked. She said she would substitute the farm tour at no additional charge. I had told her to go ahead with it. She was on vacation and Joel or someone else, not sure, responded and said they could book it for additional charge. I went ahead and paid because I forgot that Nathalie said it would be upgraded at no additional charge. I asked Nathalie about the refund but got no where with her. In addition, the farm tour wasn't what was advertised. There was no woodscraftman or chocolate sampling.
