Born and raised in the heart of Puglia (the Boot Heel of Italy), surrounded by its rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and delicious cuisine, I started developing a burning passion for exploration and cultural immersion.
I believe that each travel is an authentic and unique experience, that gives us the magical feeling of looking at life from a different point of view,

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Personalized trips to make the best of each travel experience, discovering the most beautiful sites of Italy, Portugal, and Spain."

How did you get involved in travel?

"From a young age, I was captivated by the idea of experiencing different cultures firsthand and that's how I made a lifelong commitment to travel!
Even if I am deeply in love with the region I come from, I started traveling around Europe, with an insatiable feeling of wanderlust.
This is how I ended up falling for the Portuguese and Spanish cultures and have decided to dedicate myself helping others to embark on journeys that can broaden their horizons.
Whether it's discovering hidden gems in Puglia's villages or exploring the ancient ruins of Rome, I believe that travel is not just about seeing new places, but also about connecting with the people, history, and traditions that make each destination unique!

"

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Doubtless, the most unique travel experience I had was the road trip I took through the West Coast of Europe in 2019.
We started from Noordwijk, a small city where I was living on the west coast of Holland, heading to the sunny beaches of Spain and Portugal.
I will never forget the feeling of freedom I got from the time we reached our first stop: the city of Calais, in the north of France, with its beautiful landscapes and rocky beaches.
Crossing the most diverse breathtaking landscapes, from the vivid green coast of the North of Spain to the wild beaches of the Algarve, we were blessed to get to know the locals, diving into the rich cultures of these vibrant countries.
It was amazing to try farm-to-table food, join village festivals, and find inspiration in the people we came across.
The life-changing experience made me even more passionate about traveling and cultural discovery.

Overall it was a good experience. The trip went smoothly except for a wine tasting excursion when I was given an 8am start time and the real time was 9:30. The guide said there was never an 8 am start so not sure where that came from. The hotel in Sorrento, Maison Kalea, was fine but what stood out was that the person who hosted the breakfast was very unfriendly to us. I tried multiple times to smile and say good morning to her and she always replied with a scowl. However if an Italian family was there she was all smiles and played with their child and was a completely different person. I have to assume she does not like foreigners. It was very uncomfortable.
I was disappointed with the planning regarding the flight to Sicily. We told Giorgia that we did not need lodgings for Sicily but needed transportation. I assumed she would book a flight from Rome. However when I checked the itinerary later she had not and when I questioned her about this she said it was my fault for not making this clear to her. I am not sure how she thought we were going to get to sicily from Rome.
Other than these things I felt the trip was very good and the lodgings were about what I expected for what we wanted to pay. The tour guide in Rome, Daniele was excellent.

Maison Kalea
Sorrento

The hotel was cute and had a boutique feel. It could be a little loud at times from the street but not late into the night. The balcony was nice and I enjoyed spending time outside and on the outside plaza. The food was very good. However, the cook who served the meals was very unfriendly to us (Americans) but was all smiles and friendly to the Italians. I said buongiorno every morning and tried to smile at her to let her know I was friendly but never got a smile in return. I thought she was just quiet until I saw how she was with the Italian guests. It was located out of the busy downtown area but only a short walk away.

Although the location was pretty good ( a bit hard to find, as many hotels in Venice are), I didn't like the modern, sparse feel. The hotel is at the end of a narrow alley and was gated at night, which made me feel a bit claustophobic ( but my husband was fine with all of that) Staff was great, including the wonderful woman who helped with breakfast and the front desk. We recently returned from a trip to Paris and Southern Italy, and we truly couldn’t have done it without Giorgia from the KimKim team! From start to finish, her planning made our vacation smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable.

Every single accommodation Giorgia chose was unique to the city we were in, and having delicious breakfast included every day made our mornings so convenient and enjoyable.

A few highlights from our itinerary:

Paris (2 Nights): We kicked off our trip in a wonderful boutique hotel that had so much local charm and character. Our first day in Paris we took it upon our selves to use the train system and get to Montmartre Historic district. The trains were very easy to navigate. Our hotel was located in the heart of Paris. The next day we spent a few hours at the Eiffel Tower and the surrounding area. Would love to go back and see more.

Amalfi Coast / Sorrento (3 Nights): Our boat tours exploring the dramatic cliffs and sea caves were incredible. The Amalfi coast was a dream come true and Capri was just as stunning! Every boat tour company Giorgia booked was remarkably well-organized, and the guides were super knowledgeable, professional, and fun.

Puglia Highlights: Hotel Tirrenia had stunning views, nice rooms the service was tremendous. Staying at Aquamarea in Polignano a Mare (1 night) was gorgeous, and our 3-night stay at Masseria Cappuccini in Ostuni provided an authentic, unforgettable countryside experience.

Beyond these, we enjoyed so many other amazing adventures along the way. Giorgia's attention to detail, thoughtful recommendations, and seamless organization made this a trip of a lifetime. If you’re planning a trip to Europe, ask for Giorgia!

Minor issues were handled quickly. Thank you.
1 - The app worked well, however, there seems to be issues with scrolling in that it stops and you have to scroll from the top of the page to reveal more text. This can be confusing as you may think there is no more info, but there is.
2 - The directions to one of the excursions (Pistachio farm) was not correct. The imbedded link took us to the center of town, but the meet up with the guide was at the actual farm about 20 minutes away.

Overall a very good experience from a first time customer.

Paola was a terrific guide in Florence; we would recommend her to anyone.

The rental cars were easy to get as Giorgia had taken care of everything for us. Simple. The only issue here was that picking up in Florence the directions took us to the entrance to the train station, and we had to walk through the station and a couple of blocks away to the rental car place. It would have been nice to just have our uber drop us off right at the rental car agency.

The hotels and drivers were all wonderful.

We loved our day 5 excursion, visiting three different wineries in Tuscany. The driver/tour guide Niccolo is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable about the areas wines - we thoroughly enjoyed our day with him. The wineries we visited, especially the second winery and its owner, Misha, were all terrific.

The organic Tuscan Cooking Experience was very nice. We loved the farm, owners and employees, had a great time cooking and eating, although after seeing the place we would have really enjoyed eating at the restaurant there and enjoying their food. Not your fault at all, but it looked like a great restaurant; our food we cooked couldn't have compared to what they were setting out for the guests. We did buy a lot of their products after for our use at home and for gifts. Definitely keep sending people there.

Elisa also was an excellent guide in Todi, and we would have loved to have a little more time with her as there was so much information she was providing. Todi is a beautiful town.

Visiting the oldest winery in Montefalco was the only experience we didn't enjoy. They were very nice, but it was a pretty basic and bland tour, without much character, and we did no olive oil tasting like we thought we were going to do. I'd think twice about keeping that one on the list for future guests.

Our visit to Orvieto and the restaurant there was great. The caves underneath were spectacular, although the owner had a very large tour group come in for lunch the same time we were down in the caves eating our snacks, and she was distracted from taking much time for us. We loved it there, and even came back a couple hours later to eat a full meal, but were disappointed that they didn't have much time for us.

The home we stayed at in Cassino was a beautiful location and facility - loved the owners, had probably our best meal of the trip there that night (home cooking from the owner), and loved the setting. The rooms weren't the nicest, but we expected that as Giorgia was open about what was available in the area.

Our driver for Vesuvius was a great guy, telling us a lot about the area and history while we went up the mountain, and we very much enjoyed the climb.

Our tour guide for Pompeii, Mena, was spectacular also. Excellent knowledge on the city and history of the area, and she was full of energy. She kept us going for the full four hours which we loved.

Overall we loved our trip and experience with Giorgia and KimKim. This is the second time using you (we did Scotland with you a couple years ago) and we won't hesitate to use you again.

Several occassions we reached out to our local guide for clarification on times and locations and the responses were almost immediate! I would HIGHLY recommend Kim Kim, Giorgia, and the team for future trip design. We visited Paris, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Polignano a Mare, Alberobella, Ostuni, and more. We enjoyed tours of the Eifel Tower and Paris, and were able to easily meet with local guides. Our flight from Paris to Naples was seamless. Soaked up a local private boat tour to Amalfi and Positano, with a ferry transport for a day in Capri. We picked up a scheduled rental car in Sorrento, driving to Puglia using thoughtful directions. Spent one night and 2 fabulous days in Polignano a Mare - including a boat tour of the local caves. After driving to Ostuni for 3 nights, we visited Alberobello (UNESO site of Trullis), sunned on a local Adriatic Sea beach, savored an private wine and food tasting with a local vineyard and wine maker, and took a orecchiette cooking class. The accommodations were absolutely lovely, with all the amenities we could possible ask for. Locals were warm, kind, and friendly. We came home completely filled with joy about the entire travel experience. Perfecto!
